Today's new vintage love letters are a sweet addition to any Valentine's decor. Or, well...any vintage decor (even year round!). There are two versions of these letters available for download below.
The two love letters featured in this post were penned by Ludwig Beethoven and Winston Churchill...both to their significant others. They're simple little designs that can be tucked here and there (or even framed) to add to the charm of the Valentine's season. Download your favorite below.
Vintage Love Letters
Today's design started when I stumbled onto this little wooden envelope Valentine's pocket at my local thrift store (I've tried to find the original source, but sadly can't...sorry!). I scooped up this lil' find with the intention of adding it to my kitchen shelf. And, of course, vintage love letters seemed like the perfect addition to this piece. Even if you don't have anything like this, these letters work perfectly in a bowl, on a stand display, or framed for the season.
Above, I displayed both 5x7" versions of the Beethoven (left) and Churchill (right) letters. Each letter is set on a weathered vintage background. But, if you want a more authentic look, see my tips below.
Make Your Prints Look Authentically Vintage
If you want to make these free printables have that authentic vintage look, see my video below for some quick and easy ideas.
You can see above how these prints look on my kitchen shelf. I used both versions of the 5x7" prints.
Vintage Love Letter Details
- Both of these love letter designs are both available in the following formats and sizes:
- 8x10" JPEG
- 8x10" PDF
- 5x7" JPEG
- 5x7" PDF (this comes with two designs per page, to save you a bit of paper waste)
Printing Tips
- The JPEG versions of these free love letter printables are perfect to print as an image or photo. You can upload them to your favorite photo printing place for the best results.
- The PDF versions are great for simple, at-home printing.
- When printing at home, be sure to use letter-sized white cardstock (for both sizes since the 5x7" version has two per page). You can purchase a pack of letter-sized white cardstock here on Amazon (that's where I grab mine).
- Since this is a vintage-style design, try printing using the "draft" mode on your printer. Often times, this creates a realistic striation that mimics a vintage look (right out of the printer). I can't guarantee the results with every printer, but it's fun to try it out.
