Above is the version of the card with the lines...I know a few of you traditionalists prefer pen to paper and I completely understand that (I'm often that way, too!). But for those of you who prefer the editing option, it is best used on the unlined card (as you can see the difference in the two below).
I can think of so many uses for editable recipe cards! They're perfect for putting together family cookbooks...or maybe a collection of recipes for a new married couple? How about a housewarming gift? The possibilities are endless.
PLEASE NOTE: These recipe cards print with TWO 4x6" cards per page. You can edit both cards with different recipes to print and share!
How to Edit Your Recipe Cards
Below, I put together an entire video explaining how to edit your recipe card. Here are a few tips, too:
- Due to the editable nature of these printables, they are only available in PDF format.
- To edit, you'll need to use Adobe Acrobat (a free program available for downloading here). I'll show you more on this in the video tutorial below.
- Once you open your printable recipe cards in Acrobat, the blue boxes indicate the editable spaces (they won't print...they're only visible on your screen).
- Once you've filled in your card(s), print just as you would with any document onto letter-sized paper or cardstock. Or, save it in your files.
- Reopen the blank recipe cards to start a new one.
- Watch the complete video tutorial below on editing your free printable recipe cards.
Printing Your Cards
- After editing your card (or not, you can certainly do it the old fashioned way), send it to print.
- Be sure to print your cards onto white, letter-sized cardstock for the best results. Regular paper is too thin for recipe cards...the corners will turn up. Purchase a pack of white cardstock here on Amazon.
- Again, these cards print with TWO per page (less paper waste). They are 4x6" each. You can edit both cards before printing.
Patterned Editable Recipe Cards
If you prefer a bit more color and pattern, I've got you covered. I also created the above three editable and printable recipe cards over in my Etsy shop. They also include lined and unlined options. Find them below:

Thanks you making these recipe cards to share. May I ask what font you used for the recipe listed as peach crescents?
