As summertime is in full swing, I couldn't resist a couple of fun vintage swimsuit art designs to celebrate a wonderful season. These two designs would be darling in a powder room, sunroom, laundry room, or, well, any space, really. Download either of them below.
I'm trying to hold on to every last bit of summer this year. I'm about to have a senior in high school and I'm not sure I'm ready for all that entails. So, we've definitely made the most of this season...we've been on hikes, vacationed at the lake, gone to museums, had picnics, and just had an overall wonderful, summery time. Can it just stay this season forever? Today's vintage swimsuit art definitely evokes all the summertime feels. Download these pieces below.
Vintage Swimsuit Art
Today's prints were inspired by a Mary Kay Andrews book I just finished this week: The High Tide Club. While the flashbacks in the book to the 1940s evoke nostalgia when this kind of swimwear was worn, in the actual book, the ladies of the High Tide Club wear a bit *less*. It's a great summer read and had me thinking of the vintage aspects of the 1940s time period that is brought up in the story.
Vintage Swimsuit Art Design Options
The two designs available are:
- a classic one-piece women's halter-style swimsuit that ties around the neck
- the vintage gentlemen's romper-style swimsuit with top snaps
- Both designs are set atop a light blue watercolor gingham background. I think gingham is perfect in any vintage setting!
- While I didn't set out to make these patriotic, they do happen to be in red, white, and blue...making them even better for the summer season!
Sizes and Formats
Both designs come in the following options:
- 8x10" PDF
- 8x10" JPEG
- 5x7" PDF (comes with two prints per page for less paper waste)
- 5x7" JPEG
The frilly and girly ladies' swimsuit is a favorite of mine. It's such a classic style and who can resist a bow?
These fun swimsuit printables can be displayed together, or on their own. They're perfect for summertime or year round. I have one in my sunroom right now.
Printing and Using Your Printables
- These Vintage Swimsuit Art printables are for personal use. However, if you do have your own small shop or business and would like to sell the printed versions to your customers (no digital reselling is permitted), you can purchase a commercial license here.
- Again, these designs are available in both 5x7" and 8x10" sizes.
- Both sizes are available in both JPEG and PDF formats.
- The 5x7" PDF print has two designs per page, for less paper waste.
- When you're printing at home (especially the PDF versions), make sure you're using white, letter-sized cardstock for the best results. You can purchase it here on Amazon.
- Although scissors work perfectly fine, I actually like to cut my printables, especially those 5x7" ones, with a paper trimmer. My lines and cuts are always exact and precise this way. You can grab the same Fiskars Paper Trimmer I have here on Amazon.
