Today's new watercolor wildflowers are a free set of printables that can be displayed together or each on their own. Our lovely springtime Texas wildflowers were the inspiration behind these designs. They're a fun way to bring a bit of the outdoors inside (sans allergies, of course!).
These wordless little printable posters are full of the sweetest watercolor wildflowers that are perfect for your spring and summer decor...or anytime, really, if you're a sucker for wildflowers (and who isn't, right?). I used a few small graphic tricks to create an *almost* mirror image design. But in the end, I felt they needed a tiny bit more creativity, so they're slightly different from one another in floral placement and such. You can download either design, or both, below.
Watercolor Wildflowers
'Tis the season for all the pretty flowers to be popping up here there and everywhere. I've been on the road a lot lately and it does my heart good to see the sides of the highways covered in all the pretty colors of springtime.
Some of the flowers included on these designs are:
- bull thistle
- blue aster
- phlox
- forget-me-nots
- yellow poppies
- red feathers
- a bit of greenery and grasses, too!
There are both "right" and "left" versions of this design (meaning the bottom corners where the flowers are popping out of!). And the flowers are set at angles, for an extra bit of added interest. There is also a light pink watercolor splash in both backgrounds, anchoring the designs to the page.
I really like how they look displayed together, but they'd be sweet on their own, as well. They'd look lovely in side by side frames, too. Or even just displayed using fun washi tape. There are lots of options with these designs.
Printing and Usage for these Watercolor Wildflowers:
- All of the wildflower printable designs featured here are for personal use. However, if you own one or more small businesses and would like to utilize the physical, printed products (no digital redistribution is allowed, please purchase a commercial license here.
- These designs are available in 8x10" sizes only. There are lots of floral details and little brush details in this one. I worried smaller sizes would lose those aspects.
- The following formats are available:
- JPEG
- The PDF designs can easily be printed at home. Use white, letter-sized cardstock for the best results (regular paper is too thin). Grab white cardstock here on Amazon.
- If you are printing the JPEG options, you can upload to your local print shop, or just print like a regular image or photo.
- These designs look nice when set off inside a matted frame (as pictured above). Since the floral designs extend into the corners of each print, they really pop in this manner.
