From weddings, to birthdays, to graduations, you'll find a font that is worthy of your big day. There are classic invitation fonts along with whimsical and fun options...definitely a Celebration Font for everyone in this list. Download your favorites below. I've also included some usage tips for implementing these fonts.

Celebration Font Downloads
Today is my birthday, friends! It's always a fun day to me, so I bring the celebrating over here to the blog, too. Today, it's in the form of 25 Free Celebration Font Downloads. These are a bit different (with a few more usage options) than my 25 Free Birthday Fonts...but just as appropriate for a birthday, too! Hope you find something for your own celebration.

25 Celebration Font Downloads

Every one of the fonts I chose for today's list brings the FUN to the party (and some bring a bit of sophistication, as well). They're lovely, they're eye-catching, and they're all just a little bit playful, too (just like all celebrations should be, right?). Start your party off right by using one of these freebies on your invitation or save-the-date.

Celebration Fonts

What Makes a Good Celebration Font?

  • Curating a list of fonts is truly one of my favorite things to do. When I put together a specific grouping, I really like to think through the process of how each font will be used and what a good version of that type of font would look like.
  • To me, a celebration font should always include a slight bit of fun side to it (even the classic, more formal typefaces). That fun can come through with swirls, ligatures, patterns, interesting/varied widths, textures, and more.
  • Most of the fonts listed below are special occasion fonts, ones that you probably wouldn't use everyday for documents and such. But rather fonts that feel friendly and inviting...adding an extra bit of specialness to a card, menu, poster, favor tag or whatever else you create with them.
  • In my opinion, incorporating lots of color into your fonts also ups the celebratory factor. Plus, that's always fun to play around with.

Installing Your Fonts

  • As I always confess in font posts, I'm actually a diehard Mac user (since 1997!). I don't know a thing about how a PC works. But, after doing some research, I did locate a helpful tutorial for you PC users on How to Install Fonts. It gives  thorough, step-by-step directions.
  • Since I'm an Apple person, I'm happy to give my own tutorial on how to install these birthday fonts on your Mac. Follow my steps below:

How to Install Fonts

Installing Fonts on a Mac:

  • After downloading the celebration font of choice, open your download folder (or wherever your downloads end up).
  • Open the folder of the font (just FYI: in some cases, there may not be an actual folder, it may just be the font file, in which case, you won't have to open a folder).
  • Double click the .ttf or .otf file. I prefer the .otf  or Open Type Format files if they're available, they can be resized and manipulated without compromising their quality. But, they're not always available. The .ttf file will still work just fine. You can see in the above image that often both options are there waiting for you!
Installing Fonts
  • Once you've double clicked the .ttf or .otf file, the dialog box should automatically pop up.
  • Click 'Install Font' and your installation should automatically begin (it takes about two seconds, total).
  • Be sure to check your Font Book to make sure your new font is there.
  • You can start using your new celebratory font right away.

Download Your Celebration Fonts Below

All of the font downloads are listed out individually below. Kindly make note of:
  • Click on the name of the font to be taken to its own download page. There is also a link provided directly under each font, as well.
  • On each font's download page, you can also find the Terms of Use provided by each font designer. Make sure to strictly adhere to their policies, especially where commercial usage is concerned.
  • I also added a "Let's Celebrate" under every font name so you can see how the font looks in that particular phrase. I honestly enjoy seeing the font in more letters, so I have been trying to add fun phrases into all of my font posts, lately.
