Today's free retro Santa printables are ready to add a bit of nostalgia to your holiday decor. I used mine in a unique way on my front door wreath, but it can be framed like a normal printable, as well. Download your copy below.
Santa says "Season's Greetings" with a cheerful smile and rosy cheeks on this design. I just love the look of a classic retro Santa and was excited to put this design together...with him as the star of the show!
Today is also our monthly Thrifty Style Team day! We have a whole lot of festive (and thrifty) Christmas decor ideas to share with you. Check out all of the fun below.

Retro Santa Printables
And, even though I displayed my copy of this print on a wreath, it is certainly perfect for a traditional frame, as well (pictured above). This Santa design comes in the following sizes and formats:
- 8x10" JPEG or PDF
- 5x7" JPEG or PDF
- The PDF in this size comes with two prints per page for less paper waste.
I did keep the background on all of the designs on this particular printable. When I removed it, Santa kind of felt like a floating head. So, the background stayed. I did lighten it a bit, so it shouldn't use up too terribly much of your ink.
If you'd like to try to use it on a wreath, I gave the directions below. It makes my simple faux-boxwood wreath into a festive holiday one instantly.
Using Printables on a Wreath
- A quick search on Amazon led me to find a simple, round, gold frame that fit in the middle of a standard wreath perfectly (it's a 7" frame). Grab this same frame on Amazon for less than $10 here.
- I printed the 8x10" PDF print onto white, letter-sized cardstock.
- I used the glass (actually, it's plastic) from the frame as a template on my printable just tracing the circle on the middle of the print with a pencil (as pictured above).
- Then, I cut out the design and popped it into the frame.
- I used standard floral wire and ran it through the little hook on the back of the frame.
- Then I just wired the frame into the wreath. It was really easy and the frame hung perfectly.
I added a fun and festive bow to the wreath, too. In all honesty, this wreath I snagged at Marshall's over ten years ago was the best purchase ever. It's just a plain faux-boxwood wreath...with nothing on it. But, I constantly add a ribbon to it here and there for a holiday and it works so well. If I only own one wreath for the rest of my life, this is the one!
While I've never again seen this same wreath at Marshall's, I did find this similar one here on Amazon.
