Printable gift card envelopes have been a regular reader request for a bit. I do apologize that it's taken me a while to create these, but I'm so glad I did. These are cheerful and festive designs that will dress up any plain gift card this season. There are three design options available, as well.
I often give gift cards to some of our friends and family members...especially ones that we mail gifts to. I think today's gift card holders are the perfect way to dress up those cards with a fun holiday look. Download your favorite design below.
Christmas Gift Card Envelopes
I made these gift card holders small enough to tuck into a card. That way they're easy to send through the mail. Be sure and weigh your parcel, in case extra postage is needed.
You can see the designs available above:
- ornaments
- holly and berries
- Christmas presents
All three designs come with both sayings: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Printing and Assembling Your Envelopes
Part of my reluctance of creating holders of this nature was the assembling involved. But, I think the template I used here is super simple and works very easily. It also has two designs per page.
Supplies:
- white, letter-sized cardstock for printing (regular paper is too thin)
- glue
- scissors/paper trimmer
- Print your gift card envelopes onto the cardstock.
- Then cut out around the perimeter of the template.
- As you can see from above, there are several "notches" or special places to make some irregular cuts. Sharp scissors work well for this. The holder above left has the cuts still intact, while the one on the right has them cut out. There are four of these irregular cuts.
- As you can see (if you look carefully) in the above photo, I included small hairlines to show where to fold your gift card holder.
- Each of the lines indicates a fold (more on that in the below image).
- I like to do the larger "half" fold first.
- Then I do the smaller flaps.
- I add glue to the smaller flaps (pictured above). Craft glue is great, but if you're in a hurry, you can carefully use a glue gun to cut down on dry time.
- Once the glue is down, fold the large flap back over and allow it to dry before inserting your gift card.
Don't forget to write your own sentiments on the outside of the envelope.
Gift Cards Available on Amazon (for non-Amazon shops)
Also, if you're like me, you might enjoy shopping from home, rather than going into each store for different gift cards. I recently discovered that Amazon has TONS of gift cards to other stores, too, for no additional fee. Most are available for next day delivery, as well. Click here to see all of the gift cards they have available (y'all, there are Michaels and Jo-Ann gift cards! Squeal!).
