While these new Hello Card designs may get Adele or Lionel Ritchie stuck in your head, I really do think they're a sweet way to send simple greetings through the mail. I absolutely love sending and receiving physical cards, especially for no reason at all. And these designs are already printed and in my stationery drawer for just that purpose. Your free printable Hello Card is available below.
The more I design and share printable greeting cards, the more I realize I'm not alone in my relentless pursuit of sending physical mail to friends and family (both near and far). It seems as though a lot of you are as in love with this tradition as I am. Let's keep it going, shall we? Download these free printable Hello Card designs and start sending more greetings out across the globe.
Hello Card Printables
My love of sending letters comes directly from my mother. She had the same pen pal for over 70 years, right up to her death). And three years since her passing, I now correspond with my mom's pen pal. It sort of just happened, starting off with holiday greetings and graduating up to "just because" letters. It brings me so much joy and feels like my mom is right there with me, writing small notes and daily happenings to Lois up in Iowa and reading her sweet notes, as well.
Pictured above is my mother, Marian (on the left) seated next to her pen pal, Lois (on the right). This photo was taken the first time they met, in the late seventies. It even made our local newspaper since their story was unique. They met through an elementary school pen pal program back in the 1940s and never stopped writing to one another.
These card designs (all pictured above) are available in the following color schemes:
- orange, blue, and white
- yellow, blue, and white
- blue and white
The above photo really doesn't have a whole lot to do with the Hello Card designs, however, I was just so excited to share this up close photo of my very own backyard Zinnias with you. I cut a few to use in all of the photos in today's post (plus a few arrangements in the house). I thought you all might get a kick out of how much I went on and on about the California Zinnias in the free printable Claude Monet Quote post last week, only to come home and find my own little garden flowers thriving in my absence. It's like the zinnias thought I was cheating on them. But, I'm here for it.
Printing and Using these Hello Card Designs
- These hello card designs are for personal use. However, if you have a small shop or business and would like to carry the printed versions of these cards (no digital redistribution is allowed), you may purchase a commercial license to do just that here.
- Make sure to always print greeting cards like this onto white, letter-sized cardstock. Regular paper is too thin for this type of printing. Purchase a pack of white, letter-sized cardstock here on Amazon.
- Once your hello card is printed, you can cut it out of the cardstock. I provided a small hairline running around the perimeter of each card to make this simple. I also recommend a paper cutter if you're cutting multiple cards. I have used the Fiskars Paper Trimmer for a few years and love it...it has a small wire to indicate where to cut and it's very exact (you can see it in the above photo). Grab this same paper trimmer here on Amazon. Of course, good ol' scissors work, too.
Envelopes for Your Hello Card
All of the greeting card I create are designed to fit inside of standard A6 envelopes. I really prefer a classic white envelope with today's card designs. You can purchase these white A6 envelopes here on Amazon.
Coordinating Thank You Cards
And because I really liked how this card design came together, it has a companion card print over on my other blog. Find the free printable Thank You Note Cards over on Print Pretty Cards. They're also available in all three color options (the yellow is pictured above). These Hello Card Printables have been so popular that I also created coordinating journals through my Amazon shop. Each of the journals (pictured above), has 100-lined pages with spaces for the date on each page. There is also an interior "bookplate-style" space for the owner's name. They are 6"x9" in size.
