I was needing a new design for the frame on my mantel. I created this hummingbird printable for this spot, but thought it would be fun to share it with you, as well. I'm betting I'm not the only hummingbird fan out there. Download this hummingbird printable for your own space below.
After I took out my Three Cheers for the Red, White, and Blue printable from this frame, I really didn't want to take the frame out of this spot (I really love this frame, it's from Amazon here). I was wanting a simple, nature-inspired print for the mantel, and wanted to go word-free this time. A sweet little hummingbird printable seemed like the perfect solution. And, since I originally just designed this print for me, it's totally in my colors...but I'm thinking a lot of you are blue and white fans, too.
Hummingbird Printable
I am actually sharing two ways to display this hummingbird printable today. That blue and white frame is one way, but a more simple approach is a wooden block (pictured above). I have more information on these blocks (and how to make your corners round) below.
But using the frame was an easy way to update my mantel (pictured above) after I took down all of my fourth of July items. Don't worry, I won't light those candles near the greenery...I don't really light the candles up here in the summer since it's so hot.
Formats and Sizes
The hummingbird design is available in the following:
- 8x10" JPEG
- 8x10" PDF
- 5x7" JPEG
- 5x7" PDF (prints with two designs per page for less paper waste)
Printing and Using Your Hummingbird Printable:
- This hummingbird printable is for personal use. However, if you own a small shop or business and would like to carry the printed versions of these designs (no digital redistribution is allowed), you may purchase a commercial license to do that here.
- The JPEG formats are designed to be uploaded to your favorite printing place (print like a photograph).
- The PDF formats are perfect for easy, at-home printing.
- Printing your PDFs (both size options) onto white, letter-sized cardstock will give you the best results. Purchase a pack of white, letter-sized cardstock here on Amazon.
- If you're using the 5x7" sizes (like I did), I provide a small hairline running around the perimeter of each design to make cutting them out simple. I also recommend a paper cutter if you print and cut a lot of printables. I have used the Fiskars Paper Trimmer for several years and love it...it has a small wire to indicate where to cut and it's very exact (you can see it in the above photo). Grab this same paper trimmer here on Amazon. Of course, plain ol' scissors work, too.
- And, as I mentioned above, one of my other ways to display printables (at least the 5x7" ones) is on a wooden block (pictured above). I buy these in small packs on Amazon here.
- To jazz up the prints I display on the blocks, I like to round their corners (it's so easy!). Just grab one of these inexpensize corner rounders like mine here on Amazon. It works just like a hole punch. But, fair warning: it's addictive. You'll want to round alllll the corners on everything.
But, I really do like the look of the corners in this manner. And without a frame, this sweet little hummingbird wreath really pops off the page.

Thank you so much, Kristi! I love hummingbirds! They remind me a lot of my mother because she used to sit in her special chair by her front window and loved to watch them drink from her feeders as her health declined. It amazes me all the colors and body styles they have from all over the world as well as how they flap those little wings so fast. Your artwork is amazing and I'm so glad to see you put hummingbirds in some of your printables! Thank you!
