Today's free Printable Serenity Prayer is the perfect inspirational (as well as comforting) piece for your home or office. It's such a well-known prayer that really helps so many of us in many different facets of life. You can download your copy of this printable serenity prayer below.
If this printable looks familiar, it's probably because it is. After I posted The Lord's Prayer printable last week here, I knew I wanted a similar version of The Serenity Prayer, so they could be displayed together. I tried to create something that coordinate, but I felt like it kept falling flat. So, instead of reinventing the wheel on this one, I decided the best route was to use the same design. I think it still works well for them to be displayed together. I have several sizes of this one below (including the larger 11x14" size).
Printable Serenity Prayer
While the Serenity Prayer is very well known, personally, it has motivated me many times during my ongoing weight-loss journey. It's something that truly helps me in this area. I know a lot of people struggling in other areas use it for this, as well. Its words are so simple, but so meaningful.
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
The prayer actually has a lesser-known second part. While I didn't include it in today's print, I thought I'd include the words here:
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
Amen.

Printing and Display Information
- This printable Serenity Prayer comes in the following sizes and formats:
- 5x7" JPEG and PDF
- The 5x7" PDF design comes with two designs per page so its letter-sized page can easily be printed at home without paper waste. You'll have one to keep and one to share.
- 8x10" JPEG and PDF
- 11x14" JPEG and PDF
- The PDF designs work perfectly for at-home printing. You'll need a larger-sized printer for that 11x14" version, though, so the JPEG format may be more your speed in that particular size.
- The JPEGs can easily be uploaded to places like Walgreens, Staples, FedEx Office, etc. for professional printing (it's not too expensive, either). I use Walgreens for my larger printables in my own home. I upload on their site and just pick up in my local store.
- If you are printing at home, make sure to use white, letter-sized cardstock for both the 8x10" and 5x7" PDF designs.
- You can grab a pack of white, letter-sized cardstock here on Amazon. It produces much higher quality results than regular paper.
And, as I mentioned earlier, I have this same design available in The Lord's Prayer printable, too.
I think they look really lovely displayed together.

I love the Lord's Prayer and the Serenity Prayer printables that you made! I have always liked the Grace is Enough printable! I may be the only person in the world who has never particularly cared for the Serenity Prayer, but I never knew there was a second verse. I like it much better as the complete prayer. Thanks for the second verse, and for your wonderful printables that you share freely!! God bless you!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love that second part of the prayer, too, Carol...wish it were more publicized (although, I guess I didn't do that either, huh?). Thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate that. Hope you have a lovely weekend. xoxo
DeleteThank you Kristie and God bless you as you journey through this time on Earth. May God guide and direct you with His perfect will and timing.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. That's super sweet and appreciated. xoxo
DeleteThank you so much for this beautiful print! My husband recently completed a month long stay in a recovery center and now attends AA meetings regularly. I am also attending Al Anon. In both meetings, we say the serenity prayer as part of every session. This is a wonderful reminder to display at home.
ReplyDeleteOh, Kim, thank you so much for sharing that. Praying that you both are doing well through this. Have a lovely weekend. xoxo
