Today's free printable cute bookmarks would make darling gifts for your favorite readers. Each one has a fun, book-related quote sure to warm the heart or bring a smile to the face. There are four designs included below.
Today's free printable is a set of cute bookmarks that are just for fun! No rhyme or reason here...although they're definitely geared for the book lovers out there. Download all four of these bookmarks below.
Cute Bookmarks
Well, I'm sure you know by now, but I just love a good bookmark. I'm a big reader and tend to go through quite a number of these. I have a whole library of free printable bookmarks here, and today's "cute bookmarks" are just the latest addition to the fun.
Quotes About Reading:
The following quotes are depicted on these cute bookmarks (pictured from left to right, above):- PINK GINGHAM: The library is calling and I must go.
- GREEN GINGHAM: Buy me books and tell me I'm pretty.
- PURPLE GINGHAM: My weekend is all booked up!
- BLUE GINGHAM: Between the pages of a book is a lovely place to be.
- Download links are available below.
- These are for personal use. If you do have a shop or small business and would like to carry the physical version of these (no digital redistribution allowed), you can grab a commercial license here.
- After downloading your bookmarks, be sure to print them onto letter-sized white cardstock (regular paper is too thin for bookmarks...they'll curl on the corners. Grab a pack of white, letter-sized cardstock here on Amazon.
- After your bookmarks are printed, cut them out along the faint hairline outline surrounding each bookmark. You can use scissors, but I also love using my paper trimmer to make quick (and super straight) work of it. You can grab the same Fiskars Paper Cutter here on Amazon (it's seriously my favorite!).
Embellishing Your Bookmarks
While using the bookmarks just on their own is perfectly fine, you can also embellish and even protect them with a few fun bookmark accessories (as pictured above):
- I design most of my free printable bookmarks to fit into these plastic bookmark sleeves. You can grab a pack here on Amazon.
- And the sleeves work perfectly with these pre-made tassels, also available here on Amazon.
- You can also make your own tassel. Check out my post and video tutorial here for How to Make a Tassel.
- Another embellishment option is plain, grosgrain ribbon (preferable less than 1/2" thick). Simply cut a length of it and do a simple slip knot through a punched hole in your bookmark (scroll down a bit for an example of how this looks).
But, like I said, they look great on their own, as well (as pictured above).
I just lucked out that the package of tassels from Amazon had the perfect colors to use with today's cute bookmarks.
And above, you can see how one of these bookmarks looks with the homemade tassel.
Pictured above is the simple piece of grosgrain ribbon. I think it's another fun way to go that's super budget-friendly.
