Today's Lake Art prints are a departure from our usual style...but who wouldn't want to disappear to a cool mountainside lake retreat in the heat of the summertime? These Lake Art prints are available in all of your favorite sizes below.
The lake is calling...and I must go. I did a spin on the usual "the mountains are calling" quote with this one. But, I think the lake can certainly do its fair share of calling us, too, don't you? Since "lake printables" were high on the list in our recent reader survey regarding summer printables, I thought this watercolor design would fit the bill perfectly. Download your favorite size of this lake art below.
Lake Art Printables
Normally, I do try to include a couple of background options with each printable design. This time, however, I really (like, really) liked the design just as it is, with the light watercolor plaid kind of anchoring things in the background. I feel as though it almost looks like a comfortable flannel shirt we'd wear to the lake when the temperatures are cool. So, I do apologize for going a bit against the norm and keeping a background on this one, but I hope you all enjoy the print as a whole...I feel like it all kind of works together.
Lake Art Sizes and Formats
I love that so many of you requested lake printables for the summer season. I actually had a few folks tell me that they go to the lake instead of the ocean and feel like summer tends to highlight the opposite. I'm hoping this lake art design remedies that just a bit. It's available in the following size options and formats:
- 8x10" JPEG
- 8x10" PDF
- 5x7" JPEG
- 5x7" PDF (comes with two prints per page to minimize paper waste)
- 4x6" JPEG
- 4x6" PDF (comes with two prints per page to minimize paper waste)
Since the smaller sizes come with two designs per page in the PDF formats, you can gift one to a friend who also enjoys lake time.
Printing and Using these Lake Art Printables
- These prints are for personal use. If you are a small business owner and would like to carry them as a physical product in your business, please purchase a commercial license here.
- The PDF versions of these designs are perfect for simple, at-home printing.
- They work best printed onto letter-sized white cardstock (regular paper is too thin to use for printables...it can cause them to take on an irregular look, color-wise).
- You can find a well-priced ream of white, letter-sized cardstock here on Amazon. That's actually where I purchase it for my own stash.
- Since these printables are watercolor, in nature, you can print using either normal or draft mode on your home printer. Draft mode often creates unique striations in the print, which can mimic the look of authentic watercolor. I can't guarantee that every printer will do this, but it's fun to try.
- The JPEG designs are perfect to print like you would a photo or similar image.
- Feel free to upload them to your favorite printing place for professional results. You have my complete permission to print these. If you run into any copyright issues, simple show this post to the print shop.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Karen. Yes, those surveys were so enlightening...lots of things I had never even thought about. So glad this will work in your retirement home! xoxo
DeleteI LOVE this one! I too love the lake.. I also love the ocean.. any water, rivers, creeks, etc. and I do love the blue background just the way it is! I'm going to go check out your other lake and vintage camping ones. Do you paint these yourself?? I assume you do, but just curious!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Marilyn. I love the lake, too! Since I'm a graphic designer, I work a bit differently. I will often paint pieces or splotches, digitally scan them and manipulate them in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop using different digital brushes and such. This particular design was actually a lot of smaller pieces that I put together in Illustrator. I often buy small digital pieces (like trees and such, or even just leaves), and then compile them into larger images by layering them all together. That's the process of these lake prints...small pieces that I used to make one large piece. Hoping that helps! xoxo
DeleteBEE-YOU-TEE-FUL! thank you so much :)

DeleteHow would you feel about making one without mountains in the back? So many people have lake homes in the rest of the country, with just pine trees etc. in the background. I love the colors of this one, fabulous as are all your creations!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Barb. I'll definitely keep that in mind for the future. I'm a bit swamped getting the rest of the prints ready right now, but appreciate the suggestion. xoxo
