These dog printable designs came about in a funny little way. But, I'm so happy that they did. These three furry friends will warm their way right into your heart and onto your walls. Download your favorite dog printable below.
When we did a reader survey last week, I had a lot of requests for printables outside of the summer-series theme I'm currently working on. One of the most popular requests was a dog printable. Not cat. Not bird. But, dog printable came up multiple times. And since I'm definitely a dog person, I was completely on board.

Dog Printable Designs
What is sort of comical to me is that I almost published dog printables just like these two years ago. I had made some personalized greeting cards for a friend who loves dogs in human attire. I had thought about making the card designs into printables here on I Should Be Mopping the Floor, but worried that not many people would be interested in a dog printable. I guess I was wrong, huh?
So, the reason these canines are dressed up is due to the fact that these are the same dogs from the cards I made a while back for my friend. Plus...dogs in clothes, y'all. Can we get any cuter? Each of the dogs is available with or without a neutral-striped watercolor background in both 8x10" and 5x7" sizes. They're also available in both JPEG and PDF formats.
The above prints are the ones without backgrounds. All of the designs simply state "have a doggone good day". I can never resist a good pun.
Printing Your Dog Printable
- These dog designs are for personal use only. Please do not recreate them to sell in any manner, whether digitally or physically.
- The links to download your prints are later in this post.
- Each print comes in both 8x10" and 5x7" sizes.
- Each print also comes in both PDF and JPEG formats.
- The 5x7" PDF formats come with two designs per page for less paper waste. There is one to keep and one to give.
- The PDF prints are perfect for easy, at-home printing. Simply print onto letter-sized white cardstock, trim your margins, and frame. Regular paper is too thin for printables and will alter their quality.
- Purchase a pack of letter-sized white cardstock here on Amazon for the best price around. It's where I grab my own cardstock stash.
- The JPEG prints can be printed just like a photograph. You can upload them to your local photography printing place for printing, too. That is always a nice outcome. If they ask for copyright permission, simply show them this post on your phone. You have my complete permission to have these dog printables printed for your own personal use.
Dog Printable Design Details
While I know there are hundreds of breeds of dogs, I did stick to just three right now. I am considering making this an ongoing design where I possibly add more dogs in the future. Leave me a comment on this post if there is a specific dog you're wanting. I'll do my best to put it together in the future, but no promises here (sorry, sometimes when I make this caveat, it can be slightly overwhelming).
Below, you can see the details of each breed included.
You may already know that we are Doxie-people (we have a Standard Dachshund named Chloe who I feature here on the blog every so often). I thought this dapper Doxie in his hat, glasses and tie was just the sweetest guy.
And who can resist a good, wrinkly pug? Especially in a bow and pearls.
And the hipster Maltese is super swagger in his aviators and scarf. I wish I was half this cool, y'all!

I love these printables! Thank you so much. How about a "squirrel" printable as well. I just love those squirrels too!! 😊
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila! That sounds so cute. Although, lately, I have a love/hate relationship to our local squirrels with the way they ravaged my basil! But, still cute, nonetheless. Will definitely keep that in mind! xoxo
DeleteHi and thank you I just love popping in here to visit and see whats new. We have a Sprocker (springer and cocker spaniel ) called Gypsy puppy who has stolen our hearts. If you should even consider adding to this collection please consider her, she is black with a white flash on her chest and THE sweetest gotta love me eyes :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words, Bev! Your dog sounds so precious. Thank you so much for the input! xoxo
DeleteOH goodness these are absolutely perfect! I wish there was a black lab option, but hey... I understand you can't cover every kind of dog. Thank you so much for sharing these...I'm printing the pug for my office.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! We actually had a black lab for over 15 years...such wonderful dogs. I will add that to the list...thank you so much for letting me know! xoxo
DeleteKristi, oh my gosh these are precious!! thank you so much!!
ReplyDeleteAwww...thank you so much, Tamalita! I appreciate that. Aren't dogs the best? xoxo
DeleteLove the pups! If you do the squirrels, I won't be able to say the word because my one rescue was bred to hunt them. We can't even mention the word without her tearing out the dog doors to get to the birdfeeder! If we want to talk about the critters, we call them tree rats or vermin. 8-)
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha! That's hilarious, Grace! Our previous black lab that we had was just like that. Those squirrels can be a lot to deal with...LOL! Thanks so much! xoxo
DeleteThose puppies are adorable. I especially love the Doxie. My husband and I have 4 fun loving Chihuahuas. They are all different colors. Tri-color, Blue, Charcoal, and Red. Yes, Chis come in all colors, even spotted. I would love to see a Chihuahua in a sombrero. Your pictures are wonderful. Thank you for the lovely art work around my sewing studio.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, April! I will definitely keep the Chihuahuas high on my list...they seem very popular! xoxo
DeleteWhen downloading both pug 5x7 no-background prints, I get the ones WITH backgrounds... am I in an alternate universe? Anyone else having this result?
ReplyDeleteI apologize, Ted. That was my error. It is corrected and working normally now. Thank you for calling this to my attention.
DeleteThese are really adorable! We have a golden retriever that is the best dog we’ve ever had. So I’d LOVE to see you do a golden🤞
ReplyDeleteI love goldens and had one for years, Loryl! I'll definitely keep them in mind. Thanks! xoxo
