Gifting homemade cocoa this season? Not only do I have the perfect free printable gift tags for hot cocoa mix, my friend, Jennifer, is also sharing a delicious recipe for Peppermint Hot Cocoa, too. These red and white candy cane-esque tags will be perfect with that...or any gift, really. I have both gift tag and round shapes available for you to utilize for gifting during the holidays.
These tags have four different options on them (including a blank one for your own message, if you prefer). And the round ones are a bit more to the point with a simple "to and from" option. Download these festive goodies below.
Gift Tags for Hot Cocoa Mix
Hot cocoa is one of the easiest and most budget-friendly gifts to put together this season. I especially love it since my kids are past elementary school and have many teachers that we like to give a little something to. It keeps my Christmas budget on track and doesn't take too crazy much time. However, it's still a thoughtful gift that will allow the recipient to think of you whenever they mix up a cup of cocoa.
Peppermint Hot Cocoa Recipe
And as I mentioned above, my friend Jennifer has a wonderful Peppermint Hot Cocoa Recipe to share with you today, too. Jennifer is actually my friend from church years ago...and she happens to be a fantastic food blogger, too! We actually knew each other prior to the blogging years, and I'm blessed that our friendship just grows more and more. Jennifer is sharing this delicious Peppermint Hot Cocoa Recipe over on her blog, Jennifer Cooks. These gift tags for hot cocoa mix would be super cute attached to a jar of peppermint cocoa (she gifted me the three jars you see in this post...it's delicious!).Be sure to tell her I sent you her way.
These gift tags fit perfectly on a mason jar filled with hot cocoa mix. The following three sayings, plus a blank option, are included further below for you to download:
- A Little Something to Warm You Up...Happy Holidays!
- Have a Cup of MerriMINT This Season! Enjoy the Peppermint Hot Cocoa.
- A Little Something to Warm You Up...Merry Christmas!
Above, you can see the round tag and the blank version, too. I used festive Christmas Baker's Twine with these. You can grab them here on Amazon.
Printing and Using Your Gift Tags for Hot Cocoa Mix
- Print both styles (round or tag-shaped) onto white, letter-sized cardstock for stability. Regular paper is too thin for gift tag printing. You can purchase a pack of white letter-sized cardstock here on Amazon.
- The circle-shaped peppermint gift tags are designed to be used with a 2" craft punch (this is totally optional, you can certainly cut the with scissors, too). But, to use these with a craft punch, cut the page of tags into strips (as pictured above). Then punch each tag out. You can grab this same Fiskars 2" Craft Punch here on Amazon.
- After cutting your tags out, use a hole punch on top. I prefer a smaller, 1/8" hole punch (also pictured above). This makes the hole a bit more subtle and doesn't distract from your design too much. You can also grab a 1/8" hole punch here on Amazon.
- After your cards are cut out and hole-punched, string them up on that festive Christmas Baker's Twine, as I mentioned above.
If you prefer, you can use the circular labels without stringing them up. They can be taped to the top of the lid of your hot cocoa mix (sized perfectly for mason jar lids). Double sided or rolled up tape works perfectly for this.
And Jennifer has the free printabe instructions tag (pictured above) available for free to you, as well. They're listed within her recipe for the Peppermint Hot Cocoa.
