Free Facebook Timeline Covers

As we head into a new year, it's time for a new set of free Facebook Timeline Covers. This batch of designs includes both New Year specific designs, as well as inspirational Facebook Timeline Covers that can be used all winter long. This is also the first *official* installment of my new Facebook Timeline Cover series that will run once a month for the entire new year. 

I think it's always fun to add a bit of seasonal flair to my Facebook Timeline. These six free Facebook Timeline Covers, that are available below, are all completely different than one another, but still feel similar with the watercolors, stripes, and buffalo checked designs. They're a great way to kick off the new year!

Free Facebook Timeline Covers

There are six different designs you can choose from below. Feel free to download them all and rotate your cover all month long. 

And, as I mentioned above, this is the first installment of a brand new, year-long series. Each month, I plan to release a new pack of free Facebook Timeline Covers that goes with that particular month, holiday, or season. I will link them all up to this post, as well, so you can find them easily (once they're published). 

And don't forget about our other monthly series...the device freebies that we started in 2019! Those have been such a big hit and will be continued through the new year, as well. Be sure to sign up for our emails to get notified when the monthly freebies are ready to download.

Installing these Facebook Timeline Covers

Facebook tends to change some of their features and functions from every now and then. Below, I have listed out the current method of changing out the cover photo on your timeline. Again, you can totally change these out often and rotate your designs all month (or winter) long. All of these timelines are sized 1640 x 720 pixels, which is the standard Facebook cover size dimensions.

• Begin by hovering your mouse over the top lefthand corner of your current photo over that small camera icon (as pictured above). 
• The above "Update Cover Photo" (in that long rectangular black box) should appear on its own when you hover your mouse over it. 
• Click the "Update Cover Photo" box. This should allow the dropdown menu to reveal itself.
• Then, click on the "Upload Photo..." option and locate where you downloaded your new Facebook Timeline cover design from this post.

• Once you've selected to add it, your new design will appear in your cover photo area (as pictured above).
• A grey box will appear in the middle of your new image that says "Drag to Move Cover Photo". Be sure to adjust your cover with this option. 
• Once you're happy with the positioning and size of your cover image, click "Save Changes" (the blue button in the bottom right corner of the above image).
• Your new cover should be in place...and ready to welcome in a new year with inspiration and fun.
• You can also leave a link to this very post in the comments part of your Facebook Timeline Cover. That way your Facebook friends can head this way to select their own New Year's Facebook Timeline Covers, too. This is definitely not required, but much appreciated.
