Today, we're bringing it around to what the season is really all about: that sweet Baby Jesus in a Manger. Sometimes I can get carried away with all the fun and whimsical designs that pop in my head this season, but truly, this is one of the reasons I started designing through a blog...to share the love of God and His son with others. Hoping this free Baby Jesus in a Manger printable is one you enjoy.
When I was little, Away in a Manger was my favorite Christmas song. It was just precious to me thinking of that baby in that soft hay. And quite honestly, it still is.
Baby Jesus in a Manger Printable
While these days, I still love Away in a Manger, another one of my Christmas favorites is from the group, Point of Grace. Their song, For Unto Us, is absolutely breathtaking. I first heard it on their Winter Wonderland CD, but then later heard them perform it in concert (goosebumps, y'all). I invite you to listen to it through the YouTube video below (compiled by YouTuber, Phourthefunovit). Again, I did not put this together, but wanted to use it as a means for you to hear this beautiful arrangement. It's definitely worth a listen and the lyrics are provided, as well.
Their harmony is just incredible, right? This song is why I chose the verse from Isaiah 9:6 for this particular printable. It's my absolute favorite Christmas verse, as well.
Isaiah 9:6
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

- This Baby Jesus in a Manger Printable is for personal use only. Please do not reproduce it to resell in any manner. Church and non-profit use (bulletins, decor) is okay.
- This printable is available in both 5x7" and 8x10" sizes. Both sizes come in both PDF and JPEG formats.
- The 5x7" PDF version actually has two prints on it (it prints onto a letter-sized page). This is to prevent wasted cardstock. There is one to keep and one to share.
- This print looks best printed onto white cardstock or photo paper (if using the JPEG). When printing either of the PDF options, please use white letter-sized cardstock. You can purchase an inexpensive pack here on Amazon.
- Be sure to use either your NORMAL or BEST setting on your printer for this one (it's not 100% watercolor, so DRAFT mode isn't recommended).

ReplyDeleteDo you think this would print well on canvas paper or texturized paper? Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for your sweet words. Yes, I do think it would print well on those...however, the background may appear lighter on those textures since it's a light watercolor (they may "soak it up" a bit). But, I'd go for it. I love experimenting with papers and such. xoxo
