In the October edition of our free digital wallpaper series, I mentioned I was thinking about bringing the free Facebook Cover Photos into a regular series. I already have a few of these here and there, but it really would be fun to have them on a regular rotation. I thought I'd get a jumpstart on the series (it will start in 2020) and put some seasonal Free Facebook Cover Photos out for you to enjoy now. You can download all of these below.

Autumn Facebook Cover Photos

I've mentioned this before, but this is my favorite time of the year to design prints and digital goodies. All of the colors are so nice to work with...so much contrast and saturation make it just a blast to create things.

This is actually not my first collection of Autumn Facebook Cover Photos. I also have this collection of Autumn Facebook Timeline Photos from back in 2015. I still see them being used on friends' Facebook profiles from time to time and it warms my heart.

The only reason I don't create these kind of images here on the blog more often is because Facebook changes their image dimensions (especially their Facebook cover sizes) quite a bit. I worry the minute I release a new set, they'll be obsolete within a day or two. I *think* I am going to solve this problem by always making these cover photos just a bit larger than the current size requirements, so you can always scale them back a bit if Facebook resizes things (well, that's the hope, right?). I'm going to stick with my promise of creating a monthly series of these covers in 2020, just making a bit larger for the resizing issues. Fingers crossed that this scheme works! Then, we'll all be able to change out our cover photos whenever the mood strikes.

Today's collection of Fall Facebook Cover Photos are all watercolor with lots of organic elements added into the designs. Only one of the cover designs has actual wording on it. But, they all speak volumes about the fall season in all their colorful, pumpkin-laden glory.

Installing these Autumn Facebook Cover Photos

Facebook also changes some of their features and functions from time to time (especially concerning their Facebook Timeline Covers). Below, I have outlined the current method of changing out your cover photo on your timeline. Again, feel free to change these out often and rotate your designs all fall long.

Start by hovering your mouse over the top lefthand corner of your current photo over the small camera icon.
The above "Update Cover Photo" (in the long rectangular black box) should populate on its own when you hover your mouse there.
Once you click the "Update Cover Photo" box, the dropdown menu will reveal itself.
Click on the "Upload Photo..." option and then locate where you downloaded your new image from this post.

Once you've selected to add it, your new image will appear in your cover photo area (as pictured above).
A new box will appear in the middle of your new image that says "Drag to Move Cover Photo". You can adjust your new image with this option.
Once you're satisfied with the positioning and size of your new image, click "Save Changes" (the button in the bottom right corner of the above image).
Your new Autumn Facebook Cover Photo should be in place...and be oh so fallish.
It would be super helpful to also leave a link to this very post in the comments part of your Facebook Cover Photo. That way your Facebook friends can head my way to select their own timeline cover image, too. This is definitely not required, but much appreciated.
