Free Witch Hat SVG and Printables

This post for a Witch Hat SVG and Printables contains affiliate links. As an Amazon Affiliate, I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

Today's free Witch Hat SVG also has a printable design in all of your favorite size options (with a kicky orange and white houndstooth background). While I feel like most of my printable designs go the way of watercolor, this one did not...just the opposite, actually. And the Witch Hat SVG is a simple (easy-to-weed) design that would be darling on so many styles of fall crafts.

If you want to kick up your SVG design a bit (when using Heat Transfer Vinyl), try out some fun black and gold glitter HTV (as I shared on the pillow above). Isn't it so fun for the Halloween season? You can find it here on Amazon. Below, I'm sharing this free Witch Hat SVG and printable design and all of the options for these freebies.

I've mentioned this a few times, but I'm actually not an overly Halloweeny person. However, this fall printable series that we're in the midst of has really helped me bring out some more Halloween-specific designs, which has actually been really fun, design-wise. I truly prefer the cute side of Halloween rather than the spooky, so we're probably on overload for that style of printables about now...but that's okay, right?
Orange and Black Halloween Printables
As I mentioned, the printable version of this is a non-watercolor design. Sometimes, I really enjoy a break from my usual stuff...it's like getting back to basics. But I did add in a fairly busy and graphic houndstooth background to this piece. I played around with orange and white gingham for a bit, but the extra kick of houndstooth really won me over in the end.

Below, I'm sharing the Witch Hat SVG on a t-shirt. I actually turned it a bit on the diagonal for the t-shirt (it seemed awkward having the point of the hat kind of pointing to the face of the person wearing the shirt). You can easily do this in your Cricut or Silhouette design software...just grab the "handles" of the design to manipulate it.

The actual downloadable witch hat SVG design is in black and white so you can decide how best to use it with your machine.

How to Use the Witch Hat SVG

  • This witch hat SVG design is for personal use only. Kindly do not create and sell any items with this design used on it. You're more than welcome to create crafts for yourself or for gifting to friends and family. If you have any usage questions, be sure to email me (my contact information is in the righthand side bar).
  • This witch hat SVG file is compatible with most software for both the Cricut and Silhouette crafting machines.
  • Don't own your a vinyl crafting/cutting machine? I've really enjoyed my Silhouette Cameo (I've had it for over five years). It's definitely one of the most well-used items in my craft room (well, next to my printer, of course).
  • A lot of my blog and craft friends prefer the Cricut brand cutter. I am not familiar with it, myself, by my friend, Lindsay (she blogs at Artsy Fartsy Mama) has great information on the Cricut here.
  • This SVG file is compatible with paper, cardstock, vinyl, and heat transfer vinyl (HTV): the Hallween crafting possibilities are endless!
  • I enjoy using HTV for pillows, tote bags, and t-shirts. But regular vinyl can create some cute signs and mugs with this fall design, too. This piece is perfect for square-shaped designs.
  • If you are using HTV for your crafting, remember to both reverse your design, as well as cut your HTV on the "wrong side". There is a great Cricut guide on this must-do step here. Since I'm actually a Silhouette user, I always refer to Mandy's HTV video here. Mandy blogs over at Sugar Bee Crafts.
  • All of my SVG designs that I create here on I Should Be Mopping the Floor are made for those who are *somewhat* familiar with SVGs and vinyl/crafting machines. If you're brand new to the world of SVGs and cut files, my friend, Kelly, over at Kelly Leigh Creates has a great tutorial on How to Use SVG Files.

Free Witch Hat Printables

With designs like these, with the background going right up to the edge of the page, I think they really pop off the page with a slight white mat around them in the frame. But, you can see it without the mat below, too.

How to Use the Witch Hat Printables

  • These printables are available in the following sizes and formats:
    • 8x10" JPEG or PDF
    • 5x7" JPEG or two-designs-to-a-page PDF
    • 4x6" JPEG or two-designs-to-a-page PDF
  • The PDF designs are perfect for easy, at-home printing. To absorb a bit of paper waste, I like to put two designs on the 5x7" and 4x6" PDF formats (one to keep and one to share).
  • You can print the JPEG images just like you would print photos or similar. You can even upload to your local photo printing company. If they ask about copyrights, simply show them this post and let them know your prints are for personal use only. As the designer of these prints, you have my permission to do this. Be sure to select the matte finish, if available
  • When printing at home, be sure to print onto white cardstock for the best results (it won't show through colors from whatever is behind your print in a frame).
