Free Printable Thanksgiving Placemats

This post for free printable Thanksgiving Placemats contains affiliate links. As an Amazon Affiliate, I make a small percentage when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

While I'm "marketing" these as printable Thanksgiving placemats, they're seriously perfect to use the entire season long. And quite frankly, I'm a bit smitten with the designs and ready to use them on a daily basis (not to be braggy, but some designs I just really love). I also have lots of printing help on these, as well, since they aren't traditionally sized printables (I've got you!). Download your preferred size of these printable Thanksgiving placemats below.

Printable Thanksgiving Placemats
It's been a while since I've done a printable placemat, and truly I don't do many of them at all. They're a bit different to print, so I tend to shy away from them. But, I'm here to walk you through the entire process of printing these without any issues. One of the sizes I'm sharing can even be printed on your home printer (yes, a normal, non-oversized home printer!). So, stick with me, because these will be worth it! Download your free printable Thanksgiving Placemats below.

These placemats come in two sizes: legal sized (printable at home) or 11x17" (I'll show you how to easily print these). The above pictured version is the 11x17" size. It's truly the perfect size for a placemat. But, I did share what the smaller size looks like further down in the post, too, in case you prefer printing at home (I mean, that kind of is the point of printables, in general, right?).

Grateful Printable Placemats
I actually created these based on a reader comment from my Free Printable Fall Recipe Cards from earlier this month. They were hoping I could use the florals from the cards on another creation. While these printable Thanksgiving placemats look a bit different than the cards (there is a lot more happening here), these are some of the same florals...plus, a bit of orange and white buffalo check (of course).

Printable Thanksgiving Place Cards
I also have the free printable Thanksgiving placecards that you'll see pictured throughout today's post. There are two printing options available for these, as well. Plus, placecards, y'all. Be still my southern, table-setting heart.

Clear Plastic Plates
While you guys know I am a certified dish enthusiast, I know not everyone wants to drag out (and hand wash) 12 or so place settings of their very best china. I've got your back. I found these clear plastic plates that you'll see throughout today's post on Amazon. I love that they allow the grateful word to show through the plate. If you're having a friendsgiving or luncheon at your work or school, these plates, along with the printable Thanksgiving placemats are perfection. Or, hey...go ahead and use them on the big day, too!

Placemat Printables
Above you can see the differences in the two sizes I created. The larger is 11x17" and the smaller is a legal-sized sheet of paper (which measures 8.5"x14"). I included the legal-sized paper in case you do want to print these at home (see below how they look with a place setting).

Legal Size Placemats
Above, you can see how the smaller, legal-sized placemat looks. Look closely, the dinner-sized plate (10.5") does hang over the edges of the smaller placemat. But, it's still a nice size if you prefer printing at home. This size would be super cute for a preschool or even grade-school Thanksgiving dinner. Imagine hundreds of these laid out in a large cafeteria...wouldn't that be fun?

Thanksgiving Placemats
If you serve buffet-style, you can just set these printable Thanksgiving placemats out on your table to mark where everyone will sit (as pictured above).

Printing Your Thanksgiving Placemats

As I have said, these placemats come in two sizes: 11x17" and legal-sized (8.5"x14"). Both sizes also come both JPEG and PDF formats. It's totally your preference, but I recommend the PDF formats, since they stay true to size in the downloading process.
  • You'll be able to download both sizes and formats below.
  • To print the legal-sized placemats, you'll just need to use white, legal-sized paper in your home printer. It will print just like regular paper. Make sure to set your printer's dialog box to the unique size when you go to print.
  • Print these on your NORMAL print mode.
  • You can trim the edges, if you prefer (although, as you can see throughout my post, I left them on as a bit of a white border).
Now, let's chat about printing the larger, 11x17" printables (I really prefer this size for the placemats). I use FedEx Office to print placemats (this post is not sponsored by them, but they've always done a beautiful job on these types of prints for me, so I highly recommend them). You can upload to their site here. I have more directions on navigating their site below the following screenshot.

Printing Placemats
  • After getting to their site, click on Printing Services>Start Online Printing Order.
  • Then click Start Order.
  • Select Document Printing.
  • Select Copies and Custom Projects.
  • Click the orange Use Your File Button. You'll then be able to upload your 11x17" placemat to their site (again, I highly recommend using the PDF format on this). Just select it from where you've stored it on your computer.
  • After you've uploaded your placemat, you should see the screen I've shared above. It will cost you $1.38 to print each placemat. You can change your quantity on the upper right hand box, above the add to cart button.
  • If you like, you can even have these laminated to use over and over (I've done that many times on the FedEx site with fantastic results). Just select Lamination (under more options on the left hand menu). It is about $4 extra, but it's well worth it. I made these for my kids all the time when they were little...they were practically indestructible.
  • After you've added your printables to your cart, you can check out. Their site will walk you through the process of picking up at your local store or having the prints shipped to you. We have a nearby local store, so I always go with that option. Just FYI, our Walmart is also a local FedEx printing place. However, every time I've sent my order to their Walmart location, it seems to not go well (wrong sizing, etc.). In all honesty, the actual FedEx Office stores really know what they're doing in the printing department, so, if at all possible, try to select an actual store or the ship to your home option.
