Back to School Blessing Printables
Back to School Blessings are really special. If you've never been a part of one, then by all means, create your own. At a previous church we attended, there was a back to school blessing service every August. And a little saying was always distributed to all of the students. There is no rhyme or reason for a blessing time like this, the idea is just to pray over kids and make them feel truly loved up before their first big day back.
Today's Back to School Blessing design has a small little poem (well, I use that term quite loosely here). More of a rhyme, really. I wrote this myself (and I'm definitely not a poet). But do I love little rhymes and sing-song type of writings, so that's what this is. The words to it are typed out below.
Please do not reuse this poem or reproduce in any manner, including onto other printables. These printables are for personal, school, or church use only. They may not be reproduced to resell in any way, shape, or form.
A Back to School Blessing
It’s about that time,
a brand new school year is here.
You’re ready and you’re loved.
It’s for you that we cheer!
May your days be blessed
with new friends and great learning.
And may your year be full
of the good marks you’ll be earning.
Here’s to studying and working hard.
And, be sure to include some fun, too.
For we pray it’s your greatest year,
and you’re the best at all you do!
So, grab your backpack and
wear a big smile for all to see.
You’ll make us so proud,
on that we can agree!
Be sweet, be kind, and
be the best kind of friend that can be found.
And may this school year
be a blessing all around.
How to Use the Back to School Blessing Greeting Card Printable:
- Download the greeting card printable below (there are two different download options available).
- Print onto white cardstock (regular paper is too thin and flimsy for a greeting card).
- You can grab a ream of white cardstock here on Amazon for the cheapest price around. It's where I purchase my own white cardstock.
- Once your card is printed, trim just inside the outline around the entire perimeter of the card. Fold in half. Use the inside of the card to write out your own message for the recipient.
- The greeting card designs were created to fit into an A6 envelope. Personally, I think they go well with the brown kraft paper envelopes.
- Grab a pack of brown kraft paper A6 envelopes here on Amazon.
- Grab a pack of white A6 envelopes here on Amazon.
- These cards and prints are for personal use only (church use is fine). They may not be resold in any manner.
How to Use the Back to School Blessing Printables:
- Download all of these freebies through the links listed out below the following image.
- Again, these printables come in the following sizes:
- 8x10" PDF
- The 8x10" is only available in the PDF format for simple, at-home printing. I actually lay the design out onto a letter-sized page (8.5"x11") to make it easier to print. Just print onto a letter-sized piece of white cardstock, trim, and frame. I do bleed my designs just a bit so you won't have any white showing along the edges of your framed print.
- 5x7" JPEG or PDF
- The 5x7" JPEG is designed to be printed just like a photograph. You can even upload it to your local print shop to save a bit of ink.
- The 5x7" two-to-a-page PDF format is designed for easy, at-home printing. This design has two of the images on it. This is helpful if you're printing a few of these for a blessing gathering or similar.
- 4x6" JPEG or PDF
- Just like the 5x7" JPEG, the 4x6" JPEG is also designed to be printed just like a photograph. Feel free to upload it to your local print shop to save a bit of ink.
- The 4x6" two-to-a-page PDF format was also created for easy, at-home printing. This design has two of the images on it. You can print lots of these for a group.
- Be sure to set your printer to its NORMAL or BEST setting for these printables.
- White letter-sized cardstock works best for all of the PDF versions of the printables. Its hearty nature means it frames up very clean, without other colors showing through.
- Grab a ream of white cardstock here on Amazon for the best price around. It's where I purchase my own personal stash of cardstock.
