Free July Desktop Wallpaper for All Devices

These July Desktop Wallpaper downloads are great for use on your computer, tablet, or phone (or all three!). The subtle pink striped watercolor background with sweet florals just bursting out of the corner is a lovely little way to take your devices through the dog days of summer. Grab all of these July Desktop Wallpaper designs below.

July Desktop Wallpaper
Hard to believe we're now *officially* over the halfway hump of 2019. I have to say, I'm so happy I started this new wallpaper series at the start of the year. It's been so much fun to create these pretties every month. Since we're tipping straight into month seven, it looks like I'll be doing the fall designs soon (how weird is that?). And I definitely plan to bring this series back in 2020, as well. It is one I just can't give up. Grab all of this month's free July Desktop Wallpaper designs below.

In case you missed it, our June Desktop Wallpaper was actually our patriotic themed one for the summer season. It may be fun to use that one through the fourth of July and then switch over to this new one (available below) for the remainder of the month.

Summer Quotes
Isn't this month's quote just the best? I feel like we're clinging to summer with everything in our being this year...because we'll have a high schooler in the fall! Savoring every last bit of downtime with this kid before the craziness of that new season of life begins.

July Desktop Wallpaper Calendar

I personally prefer to keep the calendar version of the wallpaper as my own computer's desktop background. I can to refer to it at a glance, rather than open my calendar app (which takes me in way too far with all of the appointments, and such...it can get me off track too easily). This simple-to-glance-at calendar is a bit better for me. The calendar designs are only available for desktops and tablets, due to size limitations.

I always try to keep the blank version as simple as possible. This ensures that seeing your apps is the main priority of your screen. I normally keep the designs on these to the top right corner of the screen. But, I switched it up a bit for all of the July Wallpaper designs and moved it to the bottom right. Let me know if you have a preference.
Summer Desktop Wallpaper
As I said above, this entire desktop wallpaper series (which is brand new for 2019) has quickly become a favorite and I plan to continue it next year, too. They're truly a joy to design every month. If you haven't had a chance yet, be sure to also check out the January, February, March, April, May, and June versions. Here's hoping you love the July edition, too, with all of its summery florals and strawberry lemonade-colored stripes.

Downloading onto an iPad or iPhone

Shortly after beginning this free wallpaper series, I received a number of reader emails asking for instructions on downloading to an iPad or iPhone. I thought I'd share my favorite tips for doing just that (the method I use is sort of cheating, but it's really simple, so there's that).
  • Before I start the process on my smaller devices, I go ahead and download my particular phone's (or iPad's) wallpaper design onto my computer's desktop. That download gets emailed to myself (I have gmail and it allows me to email to the same address I'm sending from). If you'd rather not email yourself, you'll need to download the Dropbox app on your phone or iPad (I provide all of these wallpaper designs within Dropbox for this very reason). I like to refer readers a super tutorial on this Dropbox method here on the iDownload Blog. Again, if you'd like to avoid that, just email the design from your computer to yourself, like I do, and follow the below steps:
    • Open your email with its wallpaper attachment on your device's mail app. At the bottom of your email, it will say "Tap to Download". You'll need to do just that.
How to Download to an iPad
  • Tap that image that you just downloaded within your email (it should appear at the bottom of the email). The above image (pictured on the left) is what pops up. Tap the square box outline with the upward arrow on the bottom left corner of your screen (labeled as 1 in the above image).
  • After you've tapped the box, the screen pictured above right should pop up for you. Tap 'Save Image' (labeled as 2 in the above image). Your design should now be saved to your device.
  • Press your Home key. Now, go to Settings>Wallpaper>Choose a New Wallpaper.
  • On my phone, my images save to my Camera Roll (I am *almost positive* this is the default on most iOS devices like iPhones and iPads). I select Camera Roll and then I find the wallpaper that I downloaded. If your device saves elsewhere, you'll need to search there for the wallpaper design you downloaded.
  • Feel free to set this new wallpaper design to your lock screen, your home screen, or both.
  • That *should* hopefully do it! Let me know if you have any issues with this method. Again, it's a bit of a cheater's method to get this done, but it's easy (and I'm all about easy).

I hope you've been able to enjoy this free wallpaper series. I mentioned this last month, but I'm also considering a monthly Facebook Timeline Cover edition, as well, if there is enough interest in it.

    1. Hi Nancy-- Thank you so much. Yes, all of these should work on Android devices, as well. Android sizes are a lot more fluid than the Apple ones, so you'll just have to play around to see which size works best for your particular device. I'd start with the iPhone 5 and see if that works. That's the one most of my Android users download and use. Hope this helps.
