Are y'all familiar with triptychs? It's usually a set of three art pieces, intended to be appreciated together. I've really been wanting to put one together here on I Should Be Mopping the Floor. And what better season than fall, right?
Free Fall Printable Triptych
I was so flattered to be invited to this fun Fall Blog Tour! The inspiration is truly over the top and everything you need to get in the mood for fall. I've shared all of my friends' links towards the bottom of this post.
I've played around with where to place this triptych in my home. Above, it's in the sunroom. But, we honestly don't get much traffic back there, so I moved it to the living area built-ins where it can be enjoyed a bit more. I displayed my triptych on clipboards, but simple frames would be great, too. I wouldn't do a matted frame, though...it would create too large of gaps in between the wording and may look a bit off.
Personally, I prefer to trim the margins off to get a more professional art look.
While I just used standard clipboards to display my triptych, I did give them a light green pickle wash so they didn't look too overly industrial in my more traditional home. Click here for my complete pickle washing tutorial (it's easy, y'all!).
I think the green of the pickle wash picks up the watercolor green hues in the art really nicely.
This watercolor triptych is truly designed to fit into any decor.
