And who can resist delicious summer fruit on top of their waffle (not this girl, y'all)!
I also grabbed Hungry Jack® Original Syrup, Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter, Reddi-wip®, M&M’S® Minis Milk Chocolate Candies, and Smucker’s® Hot Fudge Spoonable Ice Cream Topping.
I also added some simple decor from around the house for a back to school vibe.
I think fresh flowers are always a nice addition to a serving area, too.
You can grab my free printable vintage flash cards here.
I put all of my topping ingredients into ramekins to make them easier for everyone to see the selections.
Doesn't it all look delicious? You can find all of these toppings and more at your local Eggo® Waffle Bar Truck.
I used some of our old yearbooks as a part of the decor, too. Perfect to stack our Kellogg's® Eggo® Homestyle Waffles on top of. I toasted all of these ahead of time and kept them on my toaster's warm setting until the last possible minute.
I skewered these on treat sticks to make them easy to grab.
We're calling these Mini Cinnamon Toast Sandwiches. You need one piece of Great Value Sausage Patty for every two (whole) pieces of the Eggo® Cinnamon Toast waffles. Toast your waffles. Stack, cut, skewer, and serve.
Serving size is TWO sandwiches.
(One serving is 200 calories and 16g sugar.)

I put a subtle notebook paper design into the background of the banner.
Just like the Eggo® Waffle Bar Truck, I think it's fun to let guests make their waffle creation however they choose. I used 1/2 cup of fresh fruit, a dollop of Reddi-wip®, and a tablespoon of M&M’S® Minis Milk Chocolate Candies on mine.
Serving size: one waffle and toppings pictured.
(Per serving: 182.5 calories, 10.5 g sugar)
Grab everything for your waffle bar at your local Walmart.
Happy (almost) back to school season, friends!
This Back to School Waffle Bar is inspired by the Eggo® Waffle Bar Truck that's traveling the country right now. The super fun Waffle Bar Truck will move 200 times over 100+ days...through September! I can't wait until it gets to the Walmart in my town. Check out below to see when the truck is headed your way...and check out how to recreate this homespun waffle bar, too (with a free printable back to school banner).
Like I mentioned above, be sure to click the image of the Eggo® Waffle Bar Truck below to find out when this mobile fun is headed to your Walmart! Food trucks are ALL the rage in central Texas, so when a new one pulls into town, we are SO there. And gosh... the Eggo® Waffle aspect of this unique food truck had me at HELLO!
I know, I know...I'm going from the fourth of July straight into back to school stuff. But, if you're like me, sometimes a little planning on this side of the rush leads to a happier, carefree, last few weeks of summertime. Plus...yowza, it seems like school starts earlier every year. This back to school bar is a fun way to welcome in a new year of fun, learning, friends, and maybe a few nerves, too.
In all honesty, this Back to School Waffle Bar is NOT for my kiddos (ha!). As I have mentioned on here, my husband is a school principal. I think a waffle bar is the PERFECT way to welcome on some new people to his team. We plan to host these newbies in our home for this deliciousness shortly.
But, this is definitely worth replicating for your family, too...perfect for day one of the school year. All of the toppings on the Eggo® Waffle Bar Truck inspired this set up...from fresh fruit to peanut butter to hot syrup...it's all kinds of delicious.
No, l'eggo MY Eggo®. And allow me to pile it up with goodness at this waffle bar.
The heart of this back to school waffle bar is Kellogg's® Eggo® Homestyle Waffles (which you can find loads of at your local Eggo® Waffle Bar experience). I also added some Kellogg's® Eggo® Cinnamon Toast, as well (I made these into fun sandwiches with Great Value sausage patties). Be sure to look for the green label boxes with all natural flavors. Delicious News! Eggo® waffles now have no artificial flavors and colors from natural sources.

While this is definitely meant to be a fun and longer experience than a usual grab and go breakfast, I do like to make a few preparations for this back to school waffle bar. I slice my fruit up for easier spooning.

I also made these little waffle sandwiches with Kellogg's® Eggo® Cinnamon Toast waffles (I broke them into their smaller "toast" pieces) and Great Value Sausage Patties. These have quickly become a family favorite around here...the sweet and salty combination is perfection.
I skewered these on treat sticks to make them easy to grab.
