This It Is Well With My Soul Free Printable is perfect for your spring decor.
It's made with layer after layer of watercolored flowers and a fun handwritten font.
I had made this hymn into a printable years ago and now it seems to have disappeared to who knows where. It's one of my favorite hymns...we sang it at my Aunt Margaret's funeral years ago and that's when I really knew it was a favorite of mine. The words bring comfort...and a peace that truly does surpass all understanding.
This hymn has been in my head all week. I really don't know why. It's a stressful time...moving to a new house, selling an old house...and all that goes with both of those "fun" life events. I kept toying with the idea of making it into (another) printable. And then Thursday snuck up on me and I still didn't have today's printable ready (there was a time when I had six weeks' worth of posts scheduled and ready...but, these days I'm just flying by the seat of my pants, y'all).
So last night, I started building the framework for this...flower after flower, petal after petal..I was really pleased with how it was coming together. I kept writing Easter-y things in the middle but nothing looked quite right or filled the space in the manner I had envisioned.
So, I did what I always do when I get "designers' block"...I hopped on Facebook to kill a few minutes (hours). And I stumbled onto the status of a sweet friend whose husband is very ill and has been in the hospital for over three weeks. She updated all of us on how their day had been...and then typed:

IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL.
I knew immediately those were the words that needed to be in this frame of watercolor florals. To my friend, Bunnie, and her family...this printable is for you. With all of the junk that I deem stressful right now, it's nothing compared to others' journeys. Pray for my friend, please. And for all of those bearing more than the rest of us could even imagine.
Thank you for such a wonderful and beautiful print. I know exactly where mine is going.

ReplyDeleteThough Satan should buffet or trials attend.....even so... It is well with my soul. I am on the leadership team of the MOMs group of our church. We like to give them a small gift for their birthdays. This year I am using an assortment of free printables, such as your and framing them in inexpensive frames. At each meeting there is an assortment for them to chose from. Most of our ladies just love them. Tomorrow this will be one of the choices. Thanks so much
ReplyDeleteHi there! That is such a beautiful and thoughtful idea! I am honored that you chose one of my prints to add to the selection of gifts for these precious mamas! May God bless you and keep you! Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words! xoxo
