Soda-Lighted Printable Gift Tags
I'm a later-in-life child...the youngest of my three older brothers, Mike, was 16 when I arrived (as a big surprise...ha)! When I was about five, that brother took a job with the local Coca-Cola bottling company in Austin. His route wasn't far from our home, either. On his last stop of the week, he'd drop off his load at the local convenience store and then as a fun little ending, would drive his truck up our street where my dad and I would be waiting on the corner to cheer him on as he drove by. We'd do the traditional arm pump and wait...untillll...Mike would blow that horn as he drove by! It was such a treat for a five-year-old, y'all (please tell me you've done the "trucker arm pump" and had a horn blow back at ya at least once in your life?!). The time somewhat varied as to exactly when our drive by would occur...so I'm sure you can guess what we'd do as we waited? We'd share a Coke, of course (in a way, an homage to our own Coke boy as he drove past us). Our family's love for Coke certainly hasn't changed through the years (although, now that we're getting older, we seemed to have all switched to Diet...LOL!).
I decided some fun printables were a great way to bring back our Coke-sharing traditions. And not only do my parents and brothers love Coke, I married a Coke-drinking guy myself...we're all over Coke-ness this father's day. I plan to give fun Coke gifts to both my husband and my dad for father's day. They both just mean the world to me!
I thought it would be fun to give a pack of Cokes alongside a gift, as pictured above.

I grabbed my printables, a hole punch, scissors, and ribbon to create a super simple gift. My boys weren't 100% sold on the tulle...it was a bit too fluffy for them, y'all.Besides a pack of Coke bottles with a gift tag, I also thought it would be fun to gift an entire tub of iced and ready Cokes...perfect to bring to a father's day cookout. Then you can leave the tub behind for dad or grandpa to use again. Another option could be giving a cooler as a gift...filled with Cokes.
I don't know a grandpa (or a dad!) that wouldn't love this as a gift! And after the Cokes are gone, the metal tub is perfect to keep for future picnics or cookouts. And yeah...I threw some tulle in there! I just can't help myself sometimes.
It's easy to go BIG or just simple with these printable gift tags.
I absolutely LOVE this idea!! My dad isn't a fisherman or a hunter or a golfer, or any of the "standard dad hobbies" and it's always hard to think of good Father's Day gifts for him! That said, he does LOVE Coke, so this is a perfect gift for him! #client
