Green Apple and Brie Boca Burgers
Green Apple and Brie Boca Burgers
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced into thin rings
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 Roasted Vegetables & Red Quinoa with Brown Rice Boca Essentials Patties
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced into thin rings
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4 ounces Brie Cheese, sliced for burgers
- 1 large Granny Smith Apple, thinly sliced
- 4 large rolls or burger buns
- butter lettuce
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
Directions:
Heat oil over medium heat in large saucepan. Add onion rings (separated out) into pan and turn heat to low. Caramelize onions over low heat for 30-45 minutes, tossing occasionally. Once onions are almost finished (and cooked to your desired consistency and color), add garlic and toss. Leave over low heat to keep warm.
Heat 4 Roasted Vegetables & Red Quinoa with Brown Rice Boca Patties according to package directions. When patties are almost finished, add Brie cheese to the tops of the patties, allowing it to melt.
Spread mayonnaise on the bottoms of the buns or rolls. Add butter lettuce and top with cheese-smothered patties. Pile caramelized onions on top of patties and then layer apple slices on top, covering with the bun.
I like to criss-cross my apple slices to make sure a bit of apple is in almost every bite of these Green Apple and Brie Boca Burgers.
The Boca brand was born when a chef in Boca Raton, Fla., perfected a veggie burger that was so good, he needed to set up a separate warehouse to meet growing demand. Since 2000, the Boca brand has been providing veggie burgers and meatless products to vegetarian and health-conscious consumers.
Who is hungry, now? These are so gooooood.
