This Halloween Planter will be PRESH on your fall front porch!
---
Hi everyone! It is Rita from Pink Polka Dot Creations. I am so excited to be here again this month to show you a fun way to keep using your flowers pots that you have out on your front porch! It will soon be time to pull all of those flowers out of your flower pots...but you do not need to put the pots away...simply turn them into a Halloween Planter!
This Halloween Planter a fun way to use something that you already have and make it into something else beautiful for your front porch!

This is really a simple project to do. Check out the tutorial below>>>
1.Take the flowers out of an old pot. Leave the dirt in your planter so that it will be weighted and the wind will not blow it over after you have decorated it! You can spray paint it black if you want it to be black or you can leave it the way it is. If you spray paint the pot, do not spray the inside because the paint will kill your flowers next spring when you plant them.
2. Gather your supplies that you want to make your planter. I just gathered sparkly Halloween stems and feathers and pumpkins and lights and tulle. Plus the skull for a perfect center accent and the glittered spider to crawl up the side of the pot!
3. Put a layer of tulle down in your pot to protect your arrangement from the dirt. Using the tulle allows for water to run through if your planter is going to be out in the weather at all.
4. Next, start bunching up tulle and your lights around the outside of the pot. You can just set these in because you are going to arrange the lights after it is all put together!
Just arrange your "flowers" as you would with any planter. Add a focal point and be sure to have varying heights to your arrangement. You can tie a big bow around the planter and add a spider crawling up the side! I pulled the lights up around some of the stems and wove them through the arrangement, so they are not all just on the bottom. Then stand back and admire your fun Halloween planter! :)

The Halloween Planter really is a showcase piece at night with all of the lights!
Here is a fun focal point for my planter, but you could also use a bat, a spider, a witch or any thing that catches your eye.
I love this spider climbing up into the pot! He just finishes it off...and who knows he might even scare away the goblins and ghosts that seem to be out!
So, now you know how to make fun Halloween Planter...but that is not all that you can do with this pot! When Halloween is over you can do a fun Harvest or Fall theme or you can get a jump start on the Holidays and make a Darling Christmas Planter! It is made the same way, just change out the "flowers" and put in Christmas decorations with balls, stars, lights, or whatever you have! So you can literally use your pots all year long and you never have to put them away! :)
You will need to start saving your soup cans to make this fun surprise that all the kids will love and there is a free printable for the labels!
Here is a tasty treat just in time for the fall season, the special ingredient in this fall mix is the bugles! Not only are they salty and delicious, but the shape is a fun addition for your fall snacking and it is great for football tailgates or any Autumn party food!
