A few years ago, {when both of my boys were still in preschool, actually}, a few of us would get together on the first day of school for what we referred to as the "Boohoo/Yahoo Coffee Time" {some mamas would be high-fiving, others wiping away the tears}. It seems like we all have mixed emotions on the big day...and that's okay. See below for some simple ideas and free printables for your first day of school coffee>>>

What I loved about previous first day of school gatherings with friends was the casualness of it all. Nothing fancy...just a time to get together and reflect on another school year beginning. Most of us would be in yoga pants, a few would have smaller children, but all of us were there together...that whole sisterhood solidarity vibe ringing out among us. And that's what I'd love to encourage you to do with your fellow moms...nothing elaborate or fancy. Just coffee time. Grab some muffins, maybe a bit of fruit and then set up a little area where everyone can help themselves. And of course...don't forget the coffee {or the creamer!}.

You can send out invites...or even just texts. Keep it casual so nobody has to stress! Getting back into the school routine is stressful enough for everyone. But, if you do send something out, be sure to download these freebies! Stick them under windshields of the new moms, too...the ones who may be looking for a friend {moms need friends, too}.

{And good grief...would someone please hand me a comb to run through my hair before taking a photo? Yeesh.}
