This spring chalkboard printable and template are the perfect ways to welcome the long-awaited for season! There are two download options...one for those of you who enjoy hand-lettering onto your own chalkboards, and one that's easy to print and frame. Download your preferred version of this spring chalkboard printable below.
Spring Chalkboard Printable
This spring chalkboard printable is kind of divided in two. The top has a banner-like design with some florals. Below that, I have included (what I think) is the perfect verse to welcome in the spring season: Song of Solomon 2:11-12.
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth,
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove
is heard in our land."
Song of Solomon 2:11-12
"For behold, the winter is past;the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth,
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtledove
is heard in our land."
Above, you can see how this looks on a chalkboard. This design makes me super happy! I did just use a smaller portion of the verse for the chalkboard, for logistical reasons. It was in the entry way of our previous home and was one of the first things seen when you walk through the door. I have included a template below if you'd like to create this design on your own chalkboard. If you've seen my video on how I hand-chalk boards, then you know how to use this. If you haven't seen it, check it out here. It will walk you through the process, as well as make the the template make a bit more sense.
Printing Your Spring Chalkboard Printable:
- The printable is an 8x10" design.
- For the actual printable (not the template), the actual chalkboard (black part) is a part of the design. You will just print it on regular paper (I actually recommend white, letter-sized cardstock for the best at-home printing results).
- Since this is a super ink-heavy design, you may want to consider uploading it to your local printing shop and let them do the printing. Choose their black and white option to save a bit.
- For the template, simply print onto letter-sized paper.
- Again, for instructions on using my template, see my tutorial on How to Hand-Letter Chalkboards. It includes a video, as well.

DeleteWhere do we find your instructions on making the "flowers" in the little banner at the top of your charlkboard? I love them! They are SO cute!
ReplyDeleteHi, Jeanice-- Thank you so much. I did those in an older post listed below. I used a specific scrapbook paper pack, but any paper would work with these same instructions: https://www.ishouldbemoppingthefloor.com/2014/03/scrappy-happy-banner-with-amy-tangerine.html
