Do you have a resolution to give up sodas and sugary drinks?
Setting up a simple tea station in your home can give you a tasty alternative...
and a little pinky-up sophistication!

As some of you are aware, I've been changing up my lifestyle to include a lot healthier habits. So far, since September, I'm down over 20 pounds {can I get a what-what?}.

Although diet and exercise have played a large role in this, one small thing I've done that's made a world of difference is trading in sugary cola for tea.

And because I'm a completely visually-driven person...I set up a tea station. This way, I have a pretty reminder of what I can have {instead of focusing on what I shouldn't}. Everything is out and accessible and waiting for me.

And my fave? Bigelow Tea. I've been a Plantation Mint flavor gal for years...but with habit changes, I've added a lot more options to my repertoire. Variety is essential. And I can just pick some up at my local Walmart when I'm there {they even have K-Cups}! Sahwheeeet! Right now, there's special bonus pack boxes of Bigelow Tea at Walmart with four extra teabags.

Bigelow Tea is currently running a FANTASTIC VIDEO CONTEST! You could win an iPAD MINI or FUN TEA PRIZES...check out the Bigelow Facebook page here for more details. Contest entries must be submitted by January 29th.
And who wouldn't want to dive into this? You may notice, I do have honey and sugar cubes out...this way I can control the amount of sweet I add to my tea {versus a soda that's loaded with sugar}. I keep my creamer here, too...because I like a to add just a touch to my hot tea. And I also have a couple of digestive biscuits and shortbreads out...because this was photographed right before our favorite show, Downton! And we were feeling rather proper that day.

I love to steep my tea in my great grandmother's tea pot that was passed down to me!

Just a few treats for a Downton-watching evening. On Monday mornings, these are always safely out of sight!

I prefer to use local honey in my tea...it's great to combat seasonal allergies and is such a natural alternative to lots of sugar. My kids and husband love a good lump or two in theirs {even my six year old has started enjoying hot tea}.

Who wants a soda when you have all of these pretty options at your fingertips?

So delicious.

Do you have a spot in your home for a simple tea station?
It's a great reminder to have a nice hot cup of it instead of a soda.
