With busy schedules and packed evenings, sometimes carving out time for you and your special someone isn't always easy. And if you have little ones, hiring a babysitter can take a simple evening out to a very expensive one...fast.
So why not have a little one on one time time with your love at home? If you have littles, put them to bed early and have a fun evening reconnecting with each other...over a delicious meal!
You can find these in the freezer section at Walmart and other grocery stores. This Braised Beef variety made us feel like we were in an upscale restaurant with a fancy chef who'd put lots of love and care into this dish.
You can make your evening together special with just a few extra steps. We decided to take our date to the dining room {which we don't use everyday, so it made it that much more fun}. I even pulled out the good china and flatware...and cloth napkins {because cloth napkins take things to a whole new level of cha-cha-cha}. I also grabbed some simple tea lights at the store to set the ambiance.
In just a few minutes our dinner came together beautifully. This skillet meal was so simple to prepare...but tasted fabulous!
When you're not spending the whole evening in the kitchen cooking, you have more time to visit and catch up with each other. Isn't that what it's really all about?
Annnnnd...even if you've been married for years, sometimes fun conversation starters can make a date more interesting and bring up different topics than you usually talk about. Click on the Date Night Conversation Starters to download a printable copy for yourself and your special someone. Prints on two 4x6 cards for you to have during your fun night.
The perfect date night...at home!

ReplyDeleteLove the idea of a date night. We have 3 kids but we still set aside time for us because it is very important - even if it is as simple as putting the kids to bed just a bit earlier - it is so worth it. Love your conversation starters and the dinner looks yummy!
