I love peeking into other people's homes for decorating ideas {and honestly, just seeing how others live their day-to-day life...is that interesting to anyone else?}. My good friend, Bethany, was kind enough to let me pull out my camera the last time I stopped by her place. She has such a fun personality and her place definitely reflects that. Her home's vintage style and gorgeous colors are super awesome...and so much of it started as a cool DIY project.
The living area is comfy and inviting with lots of pops of RED.
{Bethany and I both share a love for the color red. We come by it naturally...we pledged the same club in college whose colors were red & white. We'll always love red.}.
Special touches everywhere.
Love the vintage trike, the key collection and the awesome photo display.
Ummmm....yeah. How amazing is this? I first laid eyes on Bethany's Bar Code Lamp about a year ago. I've never stopped thinking of its coolness. Made with a Sharpie, people. Genius.
Bethany's latest masterpiece? Her new kitchen table is just pure awesomeness. She collected lots of vintage yardsticks and put them into an amazing piece.
My room when I stay over. Gorgeousness. Love the shelf that she used in place of a traditional headboard. And on the wall? That's a vintage baby mattress. {We chuckled at how teeny it is...babies wouldn't sleep in a bed that size for too long these days}.
Love me a well-designed shelf with lots of fabulous chachkies.
Awesome bedside table.
Another cute space. The wall hangings on the left were created with a rubber door mat. Ridiculously creative.
This is, by far, one of the best gallery walls I've ever laid eyes on.
And, she recently moved and had to lay it out all over again.
The consistency of the black frames with cream mattes pulls it all together and keeps it nice, tight and cohesive. The sporadic oval frames and mattes are also a nice surprise for the eyes. I could stare at it all day.
This industrial shelving is perfection. And it's from Ikea. Awesomesauce.
Thanks so much for letting me show my friends your AWESOME space, Bethany. You are one creative lady with such fabulous taste.
{For the love of Red & White, Kristi}

Lovely...and so nice to have a friend who shares your taste...and your favorite color! The room saved just for you is darling...what a kind hostess. Lynaea @ EveryDayBloom.com
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rooms, very welcoming. FYI, I'm pretty sure that metal springs on the guestroom wall is more likely to be an industry sample for sales display and NOT for a baby. But it is cute on the wall, and probably could also serve as a bulletin board with photos and notes tucked in, or a table top organizer for art supplies standing in the coils. It's a nice find.
