I love making fun recipes with delicious convenience foods. Tyson Chicken made this recipe a cinch...as well as super YUMMY. Family meals don't have to take forever to prep to still taste amazing. #MealsTogether

When I first heard about Tyson's Honey BBQ Chicken Strips, I just knew they'd be awesome wrapped up in a jalapeno-flavored tortilla...cozied up with a little coleslaw and paired with a simple sauce to swim in. I headed to Walmart to grab the essentials for this recipe.
All of our favorite Tyson goodies are in the freezer section.
That top row is what we need for this recipe.
While at Walmart, I grabbed a few other essentials for my recipe.
The gang's all here.
Time to head home and get this party started.
All of the items you'll need for this recipe:
{if you'd like to scroll down, there's a printable recipe card included in this post for your convenience}
- 1 package Tyson Honey BBQ Chicken Strips
- 1 package jalapeno-flavored wraps {I am in lerve with the kick the jalapeno adds to these wraps...perfection. But if you can't take the heat,
get out of the kitchen,just use your favorite wrap or tortilla for this.} - 1 package broccoli slaw {I prefer the broccoli one for this because of the texture, as well as color it adds}
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon seafood spice blend, {I like Emeril’s Essence}
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar or Splenda {feel free to adjust to taste}
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
Fold in the broccoli slaw until completely coated in mayonnaise mixture. Refrigerate the coleslaw for at least an hour to let the flavors blend. I like to prepare the slaw the night before to save time.
You can also mix up the dipping sauce ahead of time as well. It's a simple three part sauce: the 1/4 cup mayonnaise, the barbecue sauce and the dijon {to simplify, it's one part of each}. I like to refrigerate my sauce overnight, too...just to get those flavors mingling! ;)
When you're ready to create the wraps, preheat your oven to 400 and lay your chicken strips out on a cookie sheet. I use a non-stick sheet, but you can use cooking spray if you need to.
Bake the chicken strips according the the package directions.
Once the strips are done, it's time to wrap things up {pun intended}. I like to add a bit of the dipping sauce to one of my wraps before laying my chicken down {this is optional...we're just very saucy people}.
Add about 1/3 cup of prepared slaw on top of your chicken.
Then wrap it up. I prefer to get a really tight wrap on mine, but you can keep it simple and eat it like a soft taco, too. There's a bunch of ways to wrap. I won't judge you if you're a loose wrapper.
Perfection on a plate, my friends.
Serve alongside some sweet tea and your favorite chips.
The day that I was creating the recipe for these, our mowers showed up around lunchtime. I had so many wraps on hand that I handed them out to the guys working. They LOVED them. One of them even asked for the recipe so his wife could make these for him {his words, not mine...HA!}.
Sounds like a Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner to me.

{It will print both a 3x5 and 4x6 card on the same sheet...perfect for any size recipe box. This printable works best on cardstock.}
My kids love the chicken strips on their own, too.
They are a wonderful after-school snack on those busy afternoons packed with activities.
