As I've mentioned previously, our little man celebrated the big FIVE Star Wars style!
While I would have loved to have had a party here at the house, with home made light sabers, little Padawan outfits and the whole nine yards, Jonathan really wanted to have his party at the local gymnastics place. So, I got creative as I could {mainly with the food & favors}!
And, of course, he wanted a cookie cake like his BFF had at her party! {So I tried hard not to cry over the homemade light saber cake that I pinned several versions of the month before the party!}
Little Jedi need refreshment. . .
(I was just informed by my hubs that the word Jedi is like the word fish...no pluralization needed. I'm Star Wars illiterate. I haven't even seen a movie....does that make me a terrible boy mom?)
. . .and treats
My favorite...Leia's Buns {so easy...just unwrap pecan rolls and voila!}
Sustenance for big Jedi, too
There was a lot of this leftover. It was sweets-city, y'all.
Light Sabers....I gave a tutorial on these here.
Happy Birthday, Sweet Boy!!
For the favors, we made homemade Galactic Playdough (tutorial here).
I found containers at a restaurant supply store for mega cheap!
Throw in a cookie-cutter and we're good to go.
It was a fun time. Although a homemade party was more what mom wanted, my little man sure loved having the party at the gymnastics place. I didn't include the photos of this...but a tumbling, wild, loud & sweaty time was had by all! :)

Sorry it wasn't as DIY as you wanted, but I think you did great. I haven't seen a whole Star Wars movie either, I don't believe. LOL Love the favors. Unique and so cool!!

I should be able to understand the concept outlined by this new game onward and I think we can see enough space around us. I am sure this is something we can do about it too.

ReplyDeletehow did you make your food labels? I'm trying to make some for my daughters party this weekend. Struggling.
ReplyDeleteI designed these myself years ago. Unfortunately, I don't have these files anymore, or I'd share them. I would search Pinterest or Etsy.
