I love free printable gift tags, y'all! Today's designs have a almost a woodland feel to them...perfect for gifting to all of the nature lovers in your life. These come in both red and green free printable gift tags at the end of the post for you to download. I'm also sharing a simple way to put a nature-ish spin on holiday gift wrapping.
I live with three men...ages 10-40(ish). And the verdict is in: my traditional fluffy tulle bows on polka dotted gift wrap is (apparently) not the preferred wrap around here (it's a bit too cha-cha-cha for my people). So, I came up with a bit of a more sophisticated, (i.e.- less fluffy) wrap for this holiday season. Goodbye, tulle. Hello, herbs and twine. Grab these gift wrap tips and the free printable gift tags below.
While this gift wrap and free printable gift tags are both super simple in nature, they're really attractive, too (I mean, I may give up my spools of tulle for this more upscale look).
The tags are both buffalo checked patterns with the following wording options:
- Enjoy. (green tag)
- Merry. (green tag)
- Celebrate. (red tag)
- For you. (red tag)
Nature-Inspired Wrapping Ideas
Now, let's wrap it up, y'all. To get this natural look to the gift wrap, grab the following:
Supplies
- black butcher paper (brown kraft paper would also be perfect for this, as well)
- jute twine
- fresh sprigs of Rosemary (any herb will do, really)
- free printable gift tags (download links below)
- white, letter-sized cardstock for printing your tags
Directions
- Print your tags onto the cardstock (they print four to a page).
- Cut out your tag around its black outline perimeter.
- Punch a hole in the black dot on the tags (I prefer to use a smaller, 1/8" hole punch so it doesn't interfere with the design too much.)
- String your twine.
- I like to write the recipient's name and my name on the back (blank) side of the tags.
- Then wrap your gift just as you would with regular wrapping paper.
- I like to keep the dull side of the butcher paper on the outside of the package. But the shinier side would be a fun look, too.
Incidentally, three out of four members of our family asked Santa for these Sonicare Toothbrushes. They're really amazing!
- Wrap with twine (loop it around several times for a rustic touch).
- Then tuck in your herbs and tie on the tag. The fresh Rosemary smells wonderful, too.
