This Free Patriotic Banner Printable is perfect for all of your Fourth of July decor and party fun. And honestly, it's fun to decorate with all season long. Download this patriotic banner below.
I really enjoy decorating for the Fourth of July (or FOJ as we call it around here). From bunting to banners to all sort of stars and stripes, you just can't beat it. This free patriotic banner printable is the perfect addition to this year's patriotic decor in your own home or office space.
Free Patriotic Banner Printable
'Tis the season for all things red, white, and blue! Whether you're throwing a party or just wanting some patriotic touches around your space, this free printable is a great solution. The beauty of it? You can make it as long as you like...just print more pages!
You can even get creative with how you display this patriotic banner, too. Place three of the star pennants on one side, with five of the striped pennants on the other side for more of a flag feel. The possibilities are endless.
Putting Your Patriotic Banner Together:
Supplies:
- free patriotic banner download (available below)
- letter-sized white cardstock (regular/printer paper is really too thin for banners and will curl up on the points)
- twine for stringing your banner (below are some fun options on Amazon that coordinate with this patriotic banner):
- red and white baker's twine
- blue and white baker's twine
- red, white, and blue baker's twine
- natural jute twine
- mini clothespins -or- a smaller 1/8" hole punch
- home printer
- scissors or a paper trimmer if you're cutting out a lot of pennants for a longer banner (I own and love this one from Fiskars)
Directions to Assemble your Banner
- As you can see from the above graphic, this banner measures *almost* 4"x6". I cut it a bit shorter in order to fit four pennants per page, for less paper waste.
- Print your patriotic banner onto the letter-sized white cardstock. If you need printing help, be sure to check out my tutorial on How to Print a Printable.
- Since today's banner is a distressed-look design, you can use NORMAL or DRAFT mode on your home printer. While this doesn't work on every printer out there, often times the DRAFT mode will create slight striations in the print, giving your print that authentic distressed look. It's fun to play around and see how this looks.
- Cut each pennant out of the cardstock.
- Hang using the mini clothespins or simply punching with a hole punch (I do prefer a 1/8" smaller hole punch for this, it doesn't interfere with the banner's design like a regular hole punch does).
- This patriotic banner looks great hung up on the jute or baker's twines in the list above.
- Again, you make this banner as long as you like by printing more pages.
- You could also create a banner entirely made of just the stars, or all stripes, too. It would be fun to layer those on top of one another (offset a bit) for a neat display.

Life With Lorelai
Hi Kristi, I printed this banner for my Memorial Day display at work. I love how it looks! Our local American Legion made paper poppies to give out to our team after my company made a very nice donation to their post. Your banner was just the look I needed to pull it all together!
