I tend to do holiday decorating on a smaller, simpler scale.
Easy to put out, easy to put away.

Do you decorate for the fall? I try to do just a few things here and there. I add a couple of turkey items when Thanksgiving rolls around...but other than that, it's simple-schmimple.
This is my October wreath that I showed you on Tuesday. It's a t-shirt scrap wreath. Feel free to check out the tutorial here.
Ha ha. This sign. Ohhhh, this sign.
A running joke the last few years {10 ish} of hanging this sign: "because before 1876, summer just rolled right into winter."
It wouldn't be fall without this quirky sign on our porch.
C'mon in! This is our entry way. We've got toile-printed burlap pumpkins nestled into some leaves. There's also a leaf plate and a pile of pumpkins in the basket on the suitcases under the table.
A great tip is to buy fall decor the week of Thanksgiving. I bought these burlap pumpkins the Tuesday before Thanksgiving last year at HobLob. They were 90% off! Bazinga.
The main focus of the living area is the fireplace with my simple fall mantel.
I also like to put out seasonal photos of the kids during different holidays. The photos on the left are of my oldest son, nine years ago at our friend's pumpkin farm. I also have various Halloween costume photos and other pumpkin patch photos throughout the house this time of the year.
It was fun to add some autumn touches in here, too.
Lots of pumpkins, candy corn and apples...lots of fun fall flavors. And I switched out the printable for the fall photo.
And finally, over the stove in the kitchen, I framed my fall chalkboard printable with some of my favorite fall items, including another pumpkin patch photo of my kids. Click here to download the printable for your own fall decor.
